• Possible "cons" - affordable models are enough, but it’s not possible to seriously save on repairs by choosing forged metal cornices. Also, these structures need to be installed only on monolithic material (brick, plate, gas blocks). Decorative surfaces or loose base may not withstand the weight load.

• The cornice consists of a plastic profile strip, inside which special cavities for hooks and rollers. End caps and blockages are added to it, which fix the extreme boundaries of the movement of the rollers (and the curtains suspended on them).
• Main advantage - low price in combination with small dimensions. This is not the case when in order to reduce costs you have to sacrifice quality and reliability. The PVC profile has great strength, allows you to have from one to three rows of curtains, takes up a minimum of space. If you want to place the curtains “directly from the ceiling”, making the ledge invisible, a plastic “tire” is the best choice.
• Possible "cons" - the appearance of the plastic ceiling cornice is not amazing. It can be decorated with a decorative strip (if the design of the profile allows) or a lambrequin (on multi-row "tires"). However, he still does not fit the expensive classic setting.
• Mounting Options - ceiling, not requiring additional devices: fastened with screws to the ceiling through the holes in the plastic cornice. Hardware hats are then hidden by caps. Wall mounting is also possible, however, it is necessary to purchase wall corner brackets and fixing metal plates for it.
• You will need to install - the same universal set: level, drill, hammer, screwdriver.
• The best interior - one in which practicality and convenience come first. Ceiling plastic cornices "work" perfectly in the kitchen and in any room with low ceilings. False ceiling also helps to reveal the strong qualities of the "tire". You can "drown" the bar in a suspended structure, making it completely invisible.

• The cornice consists of aluminum profile and a lifting mechanism that provides vertical movement (up / down) of the curtain. On the back (facing the window) side of the canvas, rigid inserts are attached at regular intervals, creating folds when lifting the fabric. Please note - the curtain with a curtain rod is not for sale! The client selects it according to their tastes, requests, opportunities and then attaches.
• Main advantage - A stylish interior accessory. Roman curtains look equally elegant in both raised and lowered forms. Window clearance closes / opens in one motion, effortlessly, using the control cord. Profile models are available that bend under arched windows - the best way to make room design exclusive.
• Possible "cons" - These are far from the cheapest curtain eaves. In addition, you will have to spend additional time on the manufacture of the canvas and fixing it on an aluminum profile. This can be done independently or to order in any studio.
• Mounting Options - Mounting on the wall and ceiling is provided. A feature of the wall installation is direct mounting to the wall or with the help of an additional metal bracket. Theoretically, a Roman blind can also be placed inside a window niche or directly on a window frame. However, this is almost never found (extremely not practical).

However, due to the valuable qualities of aluminum and low cost, the demand for such profile systems is growing. A positive word of mouth plays its role: those who already use aluminum cornices gradually share positive reviews with friends.

• The cornice consists of an aluminum profile having an internal cavity along which the runners move. The hooks on which the curtains are suspended are connected to the runners. The set is supplemented with end caps (so that the runners do not fall out of the curtain path) and brackets. In some cases, a Velcro tape (Velcro) is applied to the profile, on which a decorative figured lambrequin can be attached.
• Main advantage - a combination of lightness, strength, compactness and ductility. Cornices made of aluminum withstand severe loads of curtains of average weight (up to 5-6 kg). Due to their miniature dimensions (approximately 2x2 cm) they can be used in conditions of deficit of free space. The possibility of bending the profile in the vertical and horizontal planes allows you to design arched windows and bay windows. The price of aluminum cornices is on average 2-3 times lower than the cost of forged counterparts.
• Possible "cons" - Inexpressive appearance and a limited number of color schemes. Almost always, the profile is painted white. However, this problem is conditional, which is compensated by the advantages of the eaves.
• Mounting Options

- ceiling and wall. Installation of such a cornice to the ceiling is more common, in this case, you can specify any indentation from the wall. Installation to the wall - directly, through the basic components, or on an angular metal bracket. In the first version, the departure from the wall will be minimal (a couple of centimeters), in the second - you can set the desired distance (most often no more than 25 cm).

• You will need to install - as usual: screwdriver, drill, hammer, level.
• The best interior - any restrained atmosphere without lush decorations. It is better not to combine an aluminum ledge with mahogany furniture and antique crystal chandeliers. It will look great in conjunction with roller blinds. “Rolls” are located near the window glass, closing the light opening, and light curtains or blackout curtains are located on a single-row profile cornice.

This is due to the fact that mini-cornices have a limited scope: windows in kitchens, in suburban summer houses and in entertainment facilities (coffee houses, pizzerias, cafes, restaurants). But the eaves fulfill their function perfectly: they create the right atmosphere with high quality.

• The cornice consists of metal pipes of reduced diameter (usually not more than 10 mm), lugs and brackets. In most cases, these are sliding structures that can increase their length by one and a half times - they are called telescopic mini-cornices. You can find models with removable tips, as well as with the monolithic version “pipe + tip”.
• Main advantage - the ability to change the length. This allows you to install metal mini-curtain rods both on non-standard narrow windows (width from 40 cm), and in window niches of normal width (up to 2 m).
• Possible "cons" - narrow specialization.Nobody forbids using mini-rods in the classic setting of a room or bedroom. However, it will be an exclusively single-row cornice on an almost imperceptible pipe.
• Mounting Options - installation on a wall or on a window frame is possible. Often the complete set provides only mounting on the frame (the set of parts does not include dowels for fixing in the wall). But wall mounting is possible: you just need to buy dowels.
• You will need to install - when mounting on a wall, the same classic set is used: level, drill, hammer, screwdriver. In the case of mounting on the frame, the need for a hammer drill and hammer disappears. The brackets are screwed with a screwdriver to a wooden or plastic surface onto the screws.
• The best interior - Themed furnishings of a coffee shop or restaurant, narrow windows of the kitchen and country house.
