If the cost of the preliminary repair at the builder is overestimated or not justified, and the choice nevertheless fell on an apartment with an attractive price, but without decoration, it will not hurt to get an idea of ​​what kind of work frontier remains for the owners to perform independently.

Just do not forget about the thorough drying of each poured layer.

Someone prefers to close it with a suspended or tensile structure, someone - leave it unchanged. In places with high humidity, such as the kitchen and the bathroom, it is recommended that the walls and ceiling be treated with a special water-repellent.

But the use of such material in brick houses implies the specifics of installation. In this case, it is necessary to prime the surface, put up the beacons, apply a layer of plaster and allow to dry. After again apply a primer to the walls, putty and apply a reinforcing mesh and leave to dry again. Then apply another 2 layers of putty and, after drying, cover with a finishing layer of fine-grained plaster.

Check the applied and dried plaster layer by tapping - a loud sound indicates the absence of cavities, characteristic for high-quality plastering.

Another way to perform pre-finishing walls is plasterboard cladding. Due to the fact that this method is more expensive, less common, the rest has a number of advantages. Installation takes little time, does not require special knowledge, skills and experience. Another “for” argument is the lack of dust and dirt.

Such wiring is dangerous during operation, is punishable by a fine, in addition, the owner will be obliged to eliminate the violations and redo the wiring again.

When the finishing treatment is completed, it is time to proceed to redecorating, decorating according to the chosen design and installing the missing elements. The first to traditionally do the dirty work, so that subsequently building dust does not spoil the decorative surfaces, door leafs and other components of the interior.

The next stage is the application of decorative coatings on the floor (laminate, linoleum, parquet or tile) walls (wallpaper, paint or decorative plaster) and on the ceiling (suspended or suspended structure, or left whitewashed). We install doors and slopes, checking the tightness of the fit to the opening and closing.

Installation of electrical wiring and the withdrawal of wires to the surface at the points provided for in the plan, as already noted above, is included in the pre-repair. But the installation of sockets and switches - not always. We install the missing elements at the final stage.
