Moscow is preparing for the anniversary international exhibition "Stone Industry"
The 20th anniversary exhibition "Stone Industry" will be held in Moscow from June 25 to 28. The event will bring together specialists and manufacturers of natural building materials from Russian cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg. Also, stone masters from the CIS, Italy, China, Turkey, Iran, India will arrive.
This year the exhibition is called "Natural Stone and Ceramics". This is a significant phenomenon in the extraction and processing of natural materials. In modern construction, natural stone is becoming more popular every year. These are expensive and elite marble, granite, sandstone, quartzite, basalt. Widely used dolomite, shell rock, tuff, basalt, slate. Artistic design uses jasper and malachite.
The exhibition will feature the best domestic materials for construction and decoration of stone and ceramics. The main sections of the exhibition will interest not only professionals. Here, visitors can visually visit the quarries of deposits, get acquainted with new equipment for geological exploration of deposits of natural material. It will be interesting to see the samples of stones and find out where and how they are used. The sections “Stone in Architecture” and “Restoration Work” will attract no less attention.
In recent years, the manufacturing industry has been growing steadily and is in demand. The scatter in prices for natural and artificial stones allows the consumer to choose the material to their liking and wallet.
Analysts predict that demand for Russian stones by the end of 2019 will grow by 6%. Since 2013, their production according to Rosstat has tripled. By 2025, it will amount to 47.5 million tons.
In Russia, up to 98% of all mined building materials from stone are sold. 2% is exported, but this figure is planned to be halved. It is not a matter of product quality, it is consistently high. The problem lies in the high costs of logistics costs during transportation.
